When water passes through the sand tank, suspended solids and impurities are efficiently removed, resulting in purified water quality. This product is available in a full range of specifications, suitable for various applications such as aquariums, fish farming tanks, factory breeding pools, landscape fish ponds, swimming pools, ornamental pools, rainwater collection systems, and water park circulating water treatment.

Working Principle

In general, regardless of the specific sand filter model, the working principle is as follows:

Raw water containing salts, iron, manganese, and suspended particles such as mud enters the tank through the inlet valve. Inside the tank, nozzles are covered with layers of sand and silica. To prevent nozzle corrosion, the filter media are arranged in layers from coarse grains at the top, to medium, and then fine grains at the bottom.

As water flows through this filter bed, particles larger than 100 microns collide with the sand grains and are trapped, allowing only clean water droplets to pass through the nozzles without suspended solids. The filtered, particle-free water then exits the tank through the outlet valve and can be used as required.
